Topic: Rest 9

(As The Ever Green Olive.)

Ps.52.8 – But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

The olive tree was first mention in Gen. 8:11 After God returned peace to the earth. The dove came back to Noah with an olive leave.
Noah understand it was God’s way of saying I give you my covenant of Peace.

The Olive Tree is a symbol of peace, wisdom, fertility, prosperity, health, favour, victory, stability and tranquillity. I would love to start with it’s fertility and stability.
The olive tree may take time in it’s growth process like about 5yrs, but it lives for centuries and in it’s old age still brings forth fruit in abundance. Cut the olive tree, burn it, yet it will grow and bear fruit. When God gives you rest, he gives ability to be fruitful even at old age. When God gives you rest, he causes you to take root deep into the foundation of your life (Raising you an Ancestor to a new Covenant of Rest) that even after you are gone your children rises to continue where you left off. A man like the green olive tree is indestructible. No storm, no fire, not any kind of natural disaster can move the olive tree because its root penetrates deep into the rocks. Why? His trust is in the mercy of God.
Where is your trust?

Prayer: Father I thank you. For you are my rock and this day I put my trust in you, that I may take root deep into you and not be moved. In Jesus name!!!

Topic: Rest 8 (Rehoboth)

Gen.26.22 – And he removed from the thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Sometimes we find ourselves facing some challenges, even when we are in God’s will. and most time we are tempted to fear that God has turned his back on us and left us to walk a lonely part. First Isaac was met with famine which threatened his stay in the land, as he packed his bags to leave, God spoke to him “stay in this land and I will bless you” He hearkened to that word and stayed and God blessed Him with an 100 fold harvest meanwhile the people of the land didn’t get 10fold of there labor. This supernatural intervention attracted envy from his neighbors. As a result they began to attack his investment, close his Wells, attack his labour and his staff. And he called the name of the wells “Strive”
“And he removed from thence” I hear a rumour, this morning, God is about to move someone. Consciously or unconsciously, God is moving you “And he called it’s name REHOBOTH and said for God hath made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Bible in Basic English puts it this way “And we shall be able to spread out” It’s time for an expansion Isaac was having a 💯 fold but he was limited by envy, every attempt he makes at expanding his business they block it. I speak to you this morning by the spirit of Rehoboth in the name of Jesus every Power contending with your expansion, your spreading out, I neutralize there forces in Jesus name. Receive rest and spread out, expand and be fruitful. In Jesus name!!

Topic: Rest 7 (A walk in the supernatural)

2Kgs.7.1 – Then Elisha said, Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will sell for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria!

Good morning brethren, welcome to “Today” another new day in the month of rest.
I have a question for u. I don’t know how gruesome your situation is, but if God declares your rest to you what will be your response? How many times have you been in church and the Pastor declares the word of the Lord concerning your situation and you cry out amen and then the very next seconds, you question the possibility and integrity of that word? Like Sarah did; “Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
Or like Mary “How can this be seeing I know no man” or like the king’s right hand man in our text, Even if God will make windows in heaven will this be possible?

What will be your language, what will be your response? Rest is a function of the supernatural. It has nothing to do with what you can make happen for yourself. If you could do it then you would have done it. So since you can’t, don’t under estimate the ability and power of him who can.

This month I prophesy is your month of the supernatural!! God making the supernatural happen for you as far as the word of God is concerned from this month and beyond you shall walk in the supernatural. It’s not by might not by power but by His spirit!!

Prayers: Father I thank you for your word. I align myself to your word and to walk in the supernatural in Jesus name!!!

Topic: Rest 6 (The Punishment That Gaunranteed My Peace)

Isa.53.5 – But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.”

If there is anything that gaurantee’s my rest, it’s the cross. If there is any cost for my rest, it is but the sacrifice of the cross, if there be any prize I must pay, on the cross it was payed in full and at the end of it all, He cried with a loud voice. “It is Finished” if after the sacrifice and punishment of the cross, a witch is still responsible for your lack of rest, then the problem is not the cross but a simple question I would put to you. Have you embraced the cross and it’s living truth? We spend so much time battling witches and wizards in the name of prayer. But too little or no time appropriating the word of God into our lives. “For whosoever believeth in Him should not Perish but have eternal life (Rest)” it’s as simple as that. Faith is simply “The Act of Be-Live” until you Become the word you cannot Live the word. You become what you hear. The word you here is made manifest after it has taken root deep into your soulish realm. So what are you hearing? This morning I hear that cry once more. It is Finished!! the chastisement needful to obtain my rest, have been paid in full. I believe it I receive it. For he has given to me all that Pertaineth to life and godliness and become partakers of his divine nature. In Jesus name!

Topic: Rest 5 (Nature of God’s given rest)

Ps.23.5 – Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over*

“Thou Anointed my head with oil”

Rest is a function of divine grace. When we talk about rest, we talk about an established function of grace. That all you do is no longer by human effort, your muscles ain’t responsible, not your intellect or your connection but the Oil
When grace is poured out, disgrace is flushed down and forgotten. When God gives you rest, you seize from struggle and your little efforts yield double ” my cup runneth over” you begin to operate in the realm of the overflow. Rest gathers the fishes to where you cast your net. In other words, you don’t go looking for where the fishes are so you can cast your net, the oil of rest causes the fish to gather where ever you cast your net.
The oil of rest stops labor and gives you an overflow.

I speak to somebody this morning you may be parking up just like Peter, you have been struggling all your life making nothing out of it, and you have said to yourself “let’s just wash the nets and park up”. this month of may is your month of rest and overflow, the fishes will come to you. You have been chasing them, they will begin to chase you in Jesus’ name!!!

Topic: Rest 4 (Nature of God’s Given Rest)

Ps.23.5 – Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

When God gives you rest, he does not make it a secret agenda, God God will never bless you in the absence of public veiw but in the presence of especially your enemies. Sometimes I hear people trying to hide their testimony, if you can hide it, then its not God given rest. When God gives you rest, he does it in the public view of your enemies. I was about saying “and friends” but i noticed the Psalmist never mentiined friend, you know why? It was your enemies who celebrated your adversity, shame and captivity in public, so why would God put together few friends who am not even sure were present in your captivity and times of adversity? If your enemies served your adversity and shame in given you a public disgrace, I see God bringing them together to serve you before your table of rest giving you a publich honor. The king found no one worthy emoug to honour modicai but his enemy haman who was working so hard to give him and all his people a public slaughter. I have a message tor someone this morning God is setting up your table of rest, and your enemies would be there to serve you at your table, it going to be for your public honour and there public shame. In Jesus’ name!!!

Prayer: Father I thank you, for this month is my month of rest. I receive my rest, I come into that rest in Jesus’ name!!

Topic: Rest 5

Gen.45.5 – Now, therefore, be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

When we look at the key players in the life of Joseph, most of the people in his life, betrayed him. Starting with his brothers who sold him into slavery. But of all this betrayal and hatred, Joseph did not get bitter and vengeful. He never sought the opportunity to get back at those who wronged him. Why? Joseph said to his brothers. “You thought you meant it for evil… Do not be angry with yourselves that you sold me hither, for God did send me before you to preserve life”
You were only a player in God’s divine plan to bring rest to us all even at such a time as this.
I will always say this, God will not bring you into a city he has not shown you. So don’t focus on the offense, hatred, betrayal, but focus on the rest, focus on the promise God has made to you, focus on that city towards which you make your journey. Consciously or unconsciously enemies and friends are God’s tools to move you a step closer to your rest especially when he sees you have become comfortable where at a point, he raises a Potiphera to move you out of that comfort zone to Prison, a step closer to the Palace where He wants you.

*Prayer: Father I thank you for all the people that you bring into my life to play a part in bringing me closer to my rest. Help me understand their roles and not be overtaken with bitterness in Jesus’ name!!

Topic: Rest 4

Gen.41.52 – And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

When God gives you rest, he turns your toil and labour in your land Of Affliction into fruitfulness. Little things you do yield multiple fruitfulness, He creats a problem in the hearts of men and hides the answers with you. He turns open your calendar of remembrance, that everyone you have done good to will begin to remember you, God will cause situation that will make your name be heard in the midst of men that matters, He will Establish Evidence of his Presence in your life which qualifies you and disqualifies every other competition.
Have you been a blessing to people and they forget you when they get up there? Don’t be discouraged just continue in well doing, for it is a setup. Mind you it is not there business to bless or remember you they are only a question sheet and the question sheet has nothing to do with deciding your grade, all that matters is your answers and the your Examiner (God).

God is sure to work it all out setting you up for a lasting Rest in Jesus nameAmen

Prayer: Father I thank you for the wisdom you are giving me to be a problem solver, giving answer to people’s dilemma. Father I pray for an evidence of your presence in my life. In Jesus name!
